Curious little children,
staring innocently through doors.
Taking in everything as truth.
How pure those stolen moments are.
Envious we should be of them.
Is there need to scold them,
is that the way we should mold them?
Can we not see the big picture,
see what is wrong with ourselves.
Is innocence as evil as pure corruption?
Pushed into something,
pushed out of something else.
Are we pushing them out of themselves?
Are we incapable of learning as they do?
Is there nothing left in the simple things?
Children can teach us more than we know.
Watch them with curious intent,
open better paths for them to follow.
Do not stop them from growing,
do not stop them from learning,
and watch them make this a better place.
